Project Lucky Me
Jul 2025
The Lucky Me project focuses on feminism, exploring significant themes through small, personal stories.
It revolves around the central question: “Why do I feel lucky?” By collecting and visualising women’s stories from Taiwan, this project aims to raise awareness of gender inequality and invite reflection on how social structures shape these experiences.

The zine features two narratives, Lucky Me and Lucky Them, which shed light on the often invisible inequalities experienced by Taiwanese women in workplaces and families. I enjoy experimenting with different printing techniques and paper materials, especially Riso printing, screen printing, and binding methods.

During my MA Illustration graduation show, I collected stories and reflections from women of different nationalities. Building on my study experiences in Japan and the UK, I aim to continue comparing the social and cultural contexts of feminism across Asia and Europe. My future plan is to keep conducting interviews and adapting these stories into comics, shaping a collective experience of Taiwanese women. Through visual storytelling, I seek to explore feminism and gender issues, transforming complex and difficult topics into accessible narratives.
